Beachy Waves with John Frieda
Hi Lovelies!
Today I am sharing with you how to get effortless beachy waves with John Frieda!
I was sent this John Frieda Definition & Curl, Volume Curls curling iron to review, and I must say I am very impressed!
First of all, I love the design. It’s sleek and professional looking and seems to be very well made. It has a titanium ceramic coated barrel that helps smooth the hair and reduce frizz which I noticed right away.
It has a swivel cord which I love, so you don’t have to worry about it getting all caught up around you or the iron. This iron also has 11 high heat settings, that go all the way up to a whopping 400 degrees, and yes that is hot.
The barrel size is 1 1/2 inch, which is the perfect size for big loose curls. This model also comes in two other sizes as well, a 1 inch and 1/ 1/2 inch.
To achieve these beachy waves, I first section off my hair, usually about three times, bottom, middle and top layer.
I take about one-inch sections of hair and curl AWAY from my face. Also, when I curl each piece I leave the ends out, usually about two inches, so they do not get curled. This just makes it look a little less “perfect” and gives off that effortless look I tend to go for.
I just repeat that to all sections of my hair and I then like to finish it off with Dream Curls Daily Styling Spray, also from John Frieda. I just do a couple quick sprays and lightly scrunch my curls and that’s it! It’s a super easy hairstyle that I wear almost daily.
I have been thinking about making a video on how I curl my hair, would that be something you would like to see? Let me know!
I hope you all have a great Tuesday and thank you so much for stopping by!
