How I Grew My Instagram Following

When I first started Instagram and blogging almost two years ago, I literally knew NOTHING! I mean I didn’t even know how hashtags worked haha. I remember when I got my first 100 followers, I was so excited. I couldn’t believe that 100 people actually cared about what I was posting and wanted to follow along. Slowly but surely my numbers started to creep up, and I mean creeep. I kept seeing all these people with thousands of followers and like everyone I wished I could have that many as well. At that time there were so many things I didn’t know that made a huge difference, like What time of the day to post, How many times a day, What hashtags to use, Who to tag etc. I was kind of just winging it.

Flash forward to today, I definitely don’t have millions of followers but I am almost to 7000, and to me that is a lot! The past couple of months my numbers have really taken off and a huge part of that is from things I learned from the FABULOUS  blogger  Julianna from Blush and Camo. She recently launched an e-course sharing all her tips and tricks on how she gained almost 30,000 followers in just under 2 years! Yes I said 30,000, She is a total #bossbabe! Her book was filled with such great info from Videos, Photos, and Worksheets to help plan your posts, which were all super helpful.

I have been implementing many of the things she shared in her course and have noticed a difference. My numbers are steadily increasing by the day and I couldn’t be happier.

Although this post is about how I increased my following, I can’t stress enough that numbers are not everything! It is so easy to get caught up and obsess over them. Followers will come and go, and yes it can be super frustrating but just focus on what you love, creating great and consistent content and good things will come!
