My Fantasy Hair Extensions, Plus How To Put In Clip In Hair Extension Video

I have been getting a lot of questions lately on my hair extensions so I thought I would do an updated post since my last one was a year and a half ago. If you have been following me for a while then you will already know that I wear clip in hair extensions almost daily, and my favorite brand (I have tried many) hands down is My Fantasy Hair.

Clip-in extensions are great because they do not damage your hair like permanent ones do and you can take them out at the end of the day. I also love being able to switch up my look from long to short depending on my mood.

My Fantasy Hair extensions are made of 100% Remy hair, the highest quality of hair on the market. Not only is it Remy hair but it is also “double drawn” as well, meaning the hair has been sorted through more than twice to ensure that each strand it the same length. A process than many other companies do not take the time to do.

COLORS

They have 12 different shades from light blonde to black as well as 4 ombre sets to choose from. They have a whole page on their website to help with color matching, so if you have any questions on what color to choose, they can help you. The shade I am wearing is Ash Blonde (the lightest shade available) I washed mine with a purple shampoo, So Silver by Matrix to remove any brassiness and they matched almost perfectly.

STYLING

Since MFH Extensions are made up of 100% human hair, you can treat them just as you would your own hair. You can curl, straighten, blow dry, and even dye them. That being said, since they aren’t actually attached to your scalp, they don’t get the necessary oils that help moisturize and protect your hair, so using heat protectant is highly recommended to prolong the life of them.

LENGTH

Their hair ranges from 12 inches to 26 inches and 140-300 grams (grams in how they measure the weight of the hair, the thicker/longer the hair the larger the grams) so everyone can find the length/volume that best suits them. The set I am wearing in 24 inches long. Each set comes with 10 wefts. You can use some or all depending on the thickness of your natural hair and of course your personal preference. CARING FOR YOUR EXTENSIONS

Taking care of your hair extensions is actually pretty easy. Always use a heat protectant when styling with hot tools and/or blow drying. Make sure to brush them after you take them out and store them nice and flat. Each set comes with a really awesome hanger and bag that’s perfect for storing them. My Fantasy Hair also has their own line of shampoo and conditioner designed specifically for your extensions, and boy does it smell good! One thing to keep in mind is you do NOT need to wash your extensions that often, since they do not produce an oil like your natural hair they tend to dry out faster so excessive washing will do more harm than good. Now, you don’t have to use their specific shampoo/conditioner, your favorite brand will work just fine, just keep in mind the more moisturizing the better. As long as you take good care of your clip ins, they will last you a long time. I have had the same set for over a year and a half and they are still in great shape.
