The Venice Canals

Hi Lovelies!

Several months ago, I kept seeing bloggers shooting pictures at the “Venice Canals” and thinking, wow there are lot of people traveling to Italy lately. Lo and behold, they were actually in Venice Beach, California. I quickly did some research and found out the Venice Canals are man made canals that were built in 1905 to recreate the appearance of those in Venice Italy. While I don’t live in LA, I have been to Venice several times and had NO IDEA this was even there. As you can imagine, my sister and I had to make a stop to see these beautiful canals in person and it was so cool! They are nestled between multi million dollar homes and lush landscape. You can walk throughout the canals and cross over gorgeous arched bridges. It was so peaceful and beautiful, I didn’t want to leave. If you are ever in the LA area, you must go visit!

Now for my outfit. This is actually a two piece set that looks like a maxi dress. I love it because I can wear just the top or skirt to create another outfit. Unfortunately, I bought this at a little boutique that doesn’t have an online store, and I can’t find it anywhere online 🙁 I did however find a dress that is very similar, and some other pieces that had the same kind of print that I thought were all super cute!
